PRESERVING THE NATURE series

The artwork of a metal wire over a piece of nature is a poignant reminder of our relationship with the environment. It encapsulates the idea of preservation, of our attempts to protect nature, while also highlighting the fragility of the environment in the face of human activity. The artwork communicates an important message - that while our efforts to preserve nature are admirable, they may not be enough to protect it. he wildlife balance has been destroyed, this artwork speaks to a deep respect for nature, and highlights the importance of preserving it.

UNFILTERED PAIN

Wool, watercolor, rusted nails on cardboard
80 x 60 x 10 cm, 2022

This artwork is a tribute to my grandmother, who passed away a few years ago. It is a collage of national patterns on an original piece of paper from the 1950s that she had kept as a keepsake. The artwork itself is both modern and traditional, combining old-fashioned national patterns with contemporary design. The visual is deliberately a bit out of sync, giving the impression of a 3D image that requires glasses to view clearly. This is meant to showcase the changing perspectives when time passes. It is a representation of our cultural identity and a reminder of the power of heritage.
